Hi! We’re Adele and Heather, the co-owners of Phat Kat. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come since opening over a year ago. We’ve grown, learned, and poured our hearts into making our studio a space we’re truly proud of. As the first female-owned, safe and inclusive tattoo studio in Dumfries and Galloway, we’ve worked tirelessly to create a welcoming environment where artistry, inclusivity, and professionalism take center stage.
Over the past year, we’ve celebrated incredible milestones— our amazing resident artist Adele walking away with 4 amazing awards at a tattoo convention and being nominated for a Youth Award, hosting two flash days, supporting meaningful charity causes through discounted flash and our “sugar stash initiative”, and bringing the community together through duck scavenger hunts. Our studio isn’t just about tattoos; it’s about building connections, sharing stories, and creating a place where everyone feels respected and valued.
We’re passionate about offering a safe, sterile, and supportive space for our clients. From collaborating with talented resident artists to welcoming exceptional guest artists, we’re dedicated to providing a unique and unforgettable tattoo experience.
We stand firmly against issues like homophobia, transphobia, and client mistreatment, ensuring our studio is a safe haven for everyone.

Whether you're drawn to bold traditional designs, intricate fine line work, vibrant colors, or black-and-grey realism, we’re here to bring your vision to life. Each tattoo is a collaboration between you and your artist, ensuring a piece that feels personal and unique.
While we currently don’t offer cover-ups, we’re happy to discuss how we can help you create something fresh and meaningful. If there’s a specific style we don’t specialize in, we’ll be upfront and can even recommend another talented artist to bring your vision to life. Your satisfaction and experience matter most to us!

Supporting causes close to our hearts is an essential part of what we do. Over the past year, we’ve hosted flash days for charity, sponsored local athletes and moto sport individuals, sponsored local events, organized fun scavenger hunts for our clients and community, and donated to meaningful initiatives. Our cat giving system is still ongoing, any cat food donated to Phat Kat is matched and you get a voucher for donating! Giving back to the community that’s embraced us is our way of saying thank you.
